The Jealous Eye

The world can do without jealousy
What is jealousy? And why is it a low emotion?
In a nutshell jealousy is wanting what someone else has. Whether it is a man, a woman, a car, a house, a job, a lifestyle or something else. We are here to experience our soul's desire so our intention should not be to want what someone else has. Why then do so many people revert to the low emotion of jealousy?
The problem starts at home. If parents often use words of jealousy and envy, then the kids through osmosis, will continue the trend. It's almost as if it's being ingrained in their energy field from a very young age. It's important to behave in a neutral, loving fashion around children so they do not grow up with these traits.
Educational institutions preach learning, but this is often done through competition, such as; who gets the higher mark, who fails, who succeeds, which team won and so on. Using this practice, schools also promote envy and jealousy through their curriculum. The institutions reward the students who "win" and "succeed" and buy into their system, while other students struggle because they are bored and don't want to learn old ways of applying education. When the bell rings, the competition, survival and jealousy spills onto the school grounds increasing exponentially the fear of some kids while others thrive. Divisions are created, cliques start, kids are labelled and they are forced to learn lessons in life related to lower emotions.
What religion does not think it is better than all the other religions? What culture doesn't think they are the best and the rest do not measure up? What do each one us really know about other cultures and ways of life? Why then do we fear other people, and worse get jealous of what they "appear" to have.

If the guy next door drives a Mercedes, why do you want one? Or worse, why do you want his? Why are you jealous of his life? Where does it end? What exactly are you gaining wishing you have what he has? You are putting your eye where it does not belong. Don't be like the Jone's
There is nothing wrong with wanting more in life, as in; love, joy, happiness, materialistic items and other things, but do not try to extract what others have. It is not right and is pure jealousy. Some cultures call it the evil eye and protect themselves from other people by wearing malachite on their body to ward off negative energy inflicted upon them by others. |

If you are not happy, start by asking yourself why. The person next door is happy, so why can't I be happy? First of all, you don't really know the person next door, and if they are happy or not. It could all be an ego facade, a ruse to make you jealous. Or, the person next door could have gotten the happy life and items due to the great ideas he had in his head, and followed them to the end results he has now.
Search your soul for the answers. Your higher self certainly did not send you here to steal someone else's life and happiness.
If you are in a bad relationship, either try to repair it, or slowly get out of it. If you have a low paying job, take steps to connect with what you really want to do to make a better way of making a living.
Stop the endless gossip and do not talk about other people. Do not wish you have what they have, but rather raise your emotional level to discipline and happiness. Once you are there, new ideas will "pop" into your head. If you action these ideas, the person you are jealous of will become irrelevant. You will one day wonder why you were jealous of them in the first place.
Go forward with positive emotions and do not poison your mind with lower emotions such as envy and jealousy. Sooner or later your own ideas and breaks will come, and you can concentrate on yourself and the happy life you came to lead.
