Supress the Ego

Shut the ego off
In the daily grind of life, we have a little voice in our head that constantly tells us what to do, how to react, how to think and what choices to
make. The problem is reaching that little voice.
The ego hides the connection to the higher self every day, in every way. It's not our fault the ego does this, we have been taught this way,
right from grade school through to college and university and in life every day.
Humans have been taught what is right and what is wrong. We are told not to be dreamers, to be realistic and take the hard road to success. They say, “Do what you need to do now, to do what you want to do later”, or “Nothing good ever comes without hard work”. There are many cliché’s and most of them revolve around avoiding letting human beings dream of doing something other than climbing the educational and social ladder to success.
There is a way around the way the old guard wants you to believe. If you quiet the mind, there is a little voice in your head trying to reach you through intuition, dreams, other people, situations, feelings and other methods on a daily basis.
Take the time to listen, take a deep breath and stop to smell the roses. When you do, the ego gets supressed, and the little voice can get through. This can be attained through meditation, yoga, relaxing baths, and quiet swims, looking into a fire, long, lovely walks, and affirmations among other ways.
Make the time for quiet times. It’s very important. Reconnect with the other side and get what you deserve. The peace and tranquility we all came here for. You never know what messages will be sent your way. If you follow up on them, they may drastically change the way you are living and the way you look at life.
