Lose the Corporate Attitude

Many people in the corporate world have been trained to be ruthless and heartless and they don’t even know it. The sad reality of the situation is they believe what they are doing is the right thing, because they truly trust in the culture of the company or government facility they work in.
When the majority of people join a company they are very pleased to have been accepted as qualified; after all it usually takes years of post-secondary education and stepping out of their comfort zone to get it. In addition to years of learning and gaining experience in life, one is usually knee deep in debt by the time they start the job. It is small wonder when one considers the circumstances behind getting that dream job, that folks will do almost anything to keep it.

As the days and months turn into years, the government or corporate training department will have placed their employees in preparation courses relevant to the direction of their company. Naturally this starts at the top level and filters down to the bottom so people working for the company will tow the corporate line. The technical and life skills obtained are usually quite good, and people are usually very grateful for them; however the management skills obtained vary little if at all from one company to the other.

When a person joins a company, they appreciate it when they get treated with respect and gratitude; unfortunately the agenda of most companies nowadays is the get the most for the least. If one does end up in a company with ethics from top to bottom for the most part, chances are they will stay there and be happy doing their job.
In the dog eat dog world of corporate elitism the majority of these entities treat their workers like numbers. This reflects in the high turnover rate within companies and the shrinking benefit package most employees have each passing year. As the people within the company get higher on the corporate ladder, they come to a point where their ego starts to take control and they can often be brutal with their employees, often forgetting what it was like to be one at the bottom. This is not by accident but rather by design from the years of left side of the brain training at the management levels.

The reason these upper management folks have made it to those positions is because they “listened” and “absorbed” the training from day one; add this to the fact that the middle class in western society is shrinking and many jobs have gone off shore, and a growing disparity is visible within each city. This fuels the agenda of the directors of each company to make as much money as possible while paying the least amount out to their employees.

The greed storm renders its ugly head in union meetings (if applicable) and director meetings as each company attempts to gain an edge on their competitor by either cutting benefits, costs or sending more jobs overseas where the labor is cheap and the profits are big. Soon the benefits such as; sick leave, vacation leave and just plain regular working hours of work become targets of a society consumed with appeasing the bottom line no matter how unrealistic it may be. Nothing of the employees’ rights appears sacred anymore as even superannuation and severance packages are embattled.
Jobs which used to be coveted are now stress holes which can often be compared to working in Hell’s Kitchen. Unreasonable deadlines, daily internal political issues, demanding hours and the uneasiness of management always looking over one’s shoulder are constantly on the minds of the employees. The question is why is too much not enough when it comes to power and money? And why have the people that started in the company years ago innocent and “green” turned into a ruthless management overseer?
When people join a company at the beginning they are very grateful for the benefits they receive. The majority of the employees do not abuse the rules and are happy to come to work, even under some stressful conditions. However, the inevitable appears to happen when a small percentage of the employees start to abuse the policies of the company for their own self gain. When this happens the defacto reaction is to clamp down on all the employees. Why is that? Why if there are some bad apples in a company are all punished because of their behaviour? That’s like giving all the kids a detention when one or two are bad! This makes no sense at all, since when did this mindset become acceptable?? Truly this behaviour is nothing more than an excuse to gain more control and ignore the basic rights of the people; therefore spreading their “disease” across each company and governing each micro climate as the company sees fit.

Depending on the country one is in, the reason is usually the privacy laws. In a democratic country, a constitution is usually based on privacy and free will; however the corporate agenda slowly circumvents the original documents and writes their own rules under their roof justifying it’s their company therefore they can do whatever they want. Soon this unethical behavior spreads to all the companies and none become good to work for.
This culture spreads like wildfire across various campuses resulting in each company spying on their employees by making them sign codes of conduct documents ensuring all tasks done during hours of work are for the company only. As the robotic behaviour roles on, people have their emails watched, and are tied into Human Resources Software which data mines for patterns to feed their upper management with information for the next round of layoffs. In addition some departments even want details on personal investments and so on. The environment has become so paranoid and stressful people neither feel appreciated nor relevant under this current system.

Meanwhile the people at the top are jet setters and set the trends for the new start-ups further suppressing the workplace. Western society has arrived at the Orwellian society model and then some, and the people at the top – while enjoying their perks and selfishly slurping at the corporate trough – could care a less about nothing more than numbers.

Truly many individuals have become dehumanized in many ways, but most of those folks are at the top of the corporate structure. Now even governments, who are paid obscene amounts of money through taxes that don’t even end up in the country from whence they are taxing from, are purging further rights from their public servants siting cost cutting and deficit reductions as their excuses.
People do really truly need to awaken to the slow removal of their rights and stop watching mindless dribble on TV or read it in the bought and paid for media newspapers, because what they report on are scripted lies. Simply put, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting stuffed! The middle class are falling into the lower class and life is getting tougher in many western cities. People are being watched with everything they do and it’s not just at work, they are being observed for patterns, opinions and behaviours with their purchases, opinions and so on.
In order to reverse the negative pull of society people need to wind down and detach from stressful environments. To start with, try pursuing a dream that has always been on the edge of one’s mind by doing what one can in their spare time. Take as much time away from work as possible, through vacations, family leave (if applicable), LIA (Leave to income averaging) and tune back into the higher self which is always by your side from birth to death.
There is much people do not understand in the world today and that’s because they have been taught otherwise, but by releasing the grip work has on people this can be rediscovered through getting in touch with themselves and leaving the stress agenda other folks have in mind behind.
The world in which we live needs to remove the negative vibrations. This can be achieved by investing in and opening companies with compassion with the human spirit in mind. The focus should be on the people not on the profit. As this type of “business model” reveals itself the corporate greed will be put out of business because ethical companies will simply not work with or cooperate with unethical ones. This will result in the culture of the business world changing back to favouring the people which will of course result in a more positive, loving, empathetic, compassionate and productive world.
The day of these times approach as soon common law will be back across the land and all the corporate laws will become null and void. It is during this transition into the golden age where the people at the top of the corporate ladder will either be shocked at their own behaviour speculating how it got that out of control, or find themselves looking from the outside in wondering where it all went wrong.
Regardless, as these times manifest even the people at the top of the corporate ladder will need to adjust to the new energies appearing on the planet or they will perish. The time has come to put the people first and bring unity and love to all societies on this planet; the sooner the people unite the faster the old way of life will fall into the cracks and disappear resulting in much more robust, private and trusting life with far less distractions and more opportunities for all.
