Democracy must echo the Consciousness of Humanity

Democratic processes the world over are surely a large improvement over fascist or dictatorship rule, but in order to ensure the people are actually getting what they vote for a number of initiatives and changes are required.
Presently, the status quo when heading to the voting booth leaves a person with but a handful of choices to elect a new leader. In most cases there are two candidates that represent two different thinking parties that have a chance to win; on occasion there are a few other choices. The concept of having but a few people to choose from when they represent millions is absurd.
True democracy gives a number of choices to the public and not just to delegates that have been hand-picked for each specific party. Delegates vote for the leader that best represents their parties chance to gain power; this virtual concept alone is extremely flawed because the tiny number of representative’s, vote for a potential leader to lead a nation. In actuality a small subset of the population (roughly 1%), chooses potential leaders on behalf of the population of each country; without a shadow of a doubt this is not remotely close to a true democratic process.

As humanity moves into the new millennium there must be sweeping changes to make this world fair for everyone on the face of the planet. One such change must be the selection of a new leader wherever the country is located. Each and every person must have a say in this utterly important event since this person will lead their nation. The antiquated system of political posturing must come to an end to enable mankind to move forward with conviction into the golden age.

The elimination of a two or three party system must be realized. The process of the 1% of the population selecting the people to be in power must come to an end; and it can be done by significantly widening the field of potential candidates. This will be achieved through an organized process of each region electing a representative that best represents the consciousness state of the community. This will encourage more involvement from the people and thus end the hopeless feeling of electing a different wolf in sheep’s clothing. Generally this will put an end to deceit of the current system of corrupt leaders because there is a wide array of choices to be made.
Having a large list of candidates will make for a coalition type of government where checks and balances are clearly visible. All potential for any worldwide majority government will be abolished. The lessons learned in the past century alone, clearly have taught humanity never to leave a small number of people in charge of the decisions of the many.
This coalition could come from a list of thousands of candidates from which two to three hundred could form the basis of stable government. Each community would be represented with their candidate and would embody the people not a party. As the coalition is formed, a name that is relevant for the new government would be formed; therefore there would be no left or right parties with long established names to vote for thus predefining many people’s votes because of their thought process. Within the alliance a leader will be selected, followed by two sub leaders. Other people will be appointed to positions applicable to experience, concepts, spiritual enlightenment, education and interest.

An alternative route to form a representative of the people is to not elect a single leader out of the candidates, but rather to form a fellowship to be appointed where many voices collaborate to come to decisions and conclusions; therefore circumventing the problem of giving too much power to one individual.

Minor decisions could be ratified by the newly formed government, however; any major decisions by this fellowship or leader would still require the approval of the people even if they have formed the government. In this process folks will always feel connected, involved and not forgotten, and more importantly nothing would be done against the will of the people.
In the new government no term would be longer than two years for any one person or fellowship; thus minimizing personal agendas. At the end of two years a new leader or fellowship must be chosen by the coalition but only after another general true aforementioned democratic election phase from the people. During the two year period if any leader or fellowship is unethical for any reason their leadership can be put to the test; first through the unified coalition and if required (under specific dire circumstances) from the people. This concept ensures a true democratic process where the coalition is always accountable and not selected by specific people with money and self-interest in mind.

Lobby groups would be virtually eliminated because the sheer volume of the range of candidates would be increased exponentially, thus preventing corporations from honing their target in on one individual. In short, the process would be too hard to gauge or predict, therefore these groups would not know where to put their money causing mass confusion in their ranks. In addition new laws will be passed limiting any types of cash donations, because this selection process is community by community based, not national until the final product is complete.

The naysayers suggesting too many candidates will cause too much confusion are only trying to grasp the old belief system. If each region were broken into communal areas, each area could suggest up to 100 candidates; after the election one candidate will have garnered the support to represent the people of that particular community. This would continue across the entire nation until the coalition was formed. It would be very simple to place a maximum list of 100 candidates in which to choose from for each region, thus giving the people a real choice as to how their country is to be run. No longer would national parties garnering less than 50% of the vote get into power because of outdated voting systems, and the choices for a leader would not be in the single digits, but rather in the thousands.
As the consciousness of mankind continues to rise, when spirit deems mankind fit, new concepts to improve the world will bubble to the surface solving the problems of tomorrow; but for now this model solves the corrupt election issues of today. The new age of spiritual and intuitive thinking has arrived to a much more connected humanity, with this information let’s make this an age to remember for these are the times foretold as the age of enlightenment, love and compassion.
