Bullying

Gossiping is a form of bullying
There is an old saying often heard at the playground or the school yard that references verbal abuse is better than physical abuse; “Sticks and stones break my bones but names will never hurt me”
The truth of the matter is neither is acceptable, but verbal abuse can be far more damaging.
Wielding words carelessly is akin to using a weapon physically. Words of discouragement, dislike, jealousy, envy or hate do not do any favors for the person saying them, and especially to the person they are directed at. Negative words do not build trust and love, they create confusion and regret in almost any situation.
In the schoolyards, we have often heard the term bullying. The bully often launches physical abuse on their plethora of victims, and is feared in school. They also launch words at their victims to humiliate them and force them to do their bidding.
Bullying does not work for the bully or the victim.

Bullying does not work for the bully or the victim.
The victim grows up with fear of going to school or the playground. This can often result in children that lose their confidence, are timid, and grow up disenchanted with society. This can set the victim of the bully off on the wrong foot in life, because they end up being supressed. Therefore they lack the ambition to create the circumstances to be successful in life. Eventually, if the victim of bullying gets their life together, they are already
left behind in the stage of life and require a great deal of time and effort to regain their perspective, rebuild confidence and go forward with their soul’s intention. |

The bully does not fare any better as life progresses.
A bully lives by the sword so eventually will die by it as well. They produce verbal and physical violence for the purpose of attaining their goals, and the universe returns to them the same force they have served to their victims down the road. Many of these kids end up in gangs, getting involved in dealing drugs, and hanging around with a rough or backstabbing crowd as they hit puberty and head into their teenage years. They don't understand that when they become an adult that people cannot be intimidated as before because they are not in an environment that promotes this behaviour. People have moved on, leaving the bully almost no one to pick on verbally or physically. Rarely does one see a bully who succeeds in life and gains from the years of suppression of others.
All of this can be avoided with the mindset of the parents, and how each child is brought up and develops in this world.
Parents play an integral role in shaping the “now” and future in society. Parents need to pay attention to their children and guide them along the path of life with compassion, empathy and confidence. They are required to remind their children of gratitude and beauty in this world, and not to judge people by their appearance, race, culture or religion.
If each parent does this from today, the bullying and suppression will stop and the global village can go forth with compassion and understanding for one another. Remember verbal or physical violence will only reap the same down the road, so going forward be sure to sow the seeds of love.
