Changing your Life through Positive Affirmations

Affirmations bring freedom
The subconscious mind is infinitely more powerful than the conscious mind.
When you are awake you make conscious decisions throughout the day. You are influenced by outside sources, such as; news, work, education, gossip, radio, the web, television among other things. Much of this information influences the way you live, think and behave on a daily basis. Without even thinking about it or considering it, you are sending your beliefs to the subconscious mind and programming your life each waking day. Stop and think for a moment how many thousands of thoughts enter your mind each day.
But what if you started to tell your subconscious mind a different story? What if you consciously chose to send information to it that will eventually change the life you are living consciously towards what you want and need. Think of the subconscious as a super computer that has access to anything ever thought of, and not yet thought of by man. The subconscious has a link to the other side that can be programmed to gather what is required by you to live a much better and happier life.
That’s where affirmations come in.
How many times during a day do you catch your mind wandering off on topics that worry or distress you; topics that are fed to you by the media, and thus fed to the subconscious mind programming you in a reactive not proactive state of mind. Using affirmations puts you back in control. You grab the wheel back from them and start driving it towards the life of your dreams.

Affirmations should be repeated daily, either just after you wake up, or just before you go to bed, when you are close to or in the alpha state and have a high connection to the other side. This is where the term “prayer” came from. They are essentially affirmations asking for certain things, such as; good health, money to feed the family, a safe journey on the trip next week, a healthy baby, asking for more money among other things.

Essentially affirmations repeated convince the subconscious mind that they are true. Remember the subconscious mind does not know what people term as good or bad. That’s why many things manifest in our lives that we don’t want. For example, a person smoking may be thinking in the back of their mind that they are not healthy. As they smoke day after day and year after year, the person continues to say they are not healthy while they smoke. Eventually what appears on the external (conscious life) is a health problem related to smoking, because it was constantly on their mind.
Now let us turn this around on the subconscious mind. Instead of thinking of negative self-destructive thoughts, try positive ones, such as; I am very grateful for the perfect health, perfect wealth and perfect spirituality. Repeat this three times when you wake up, and before you go to bed.
Another good affirmation is; I am a magnet for money, and I have drawn to me over a crystal clear calm sea, perfect health, perfect wealth and one million dollars and I thank you for the money as it’s my divine right as a child of god. Again, each should be repeated three times to make an impression on the subconscious mind.
You can also make your own affirmations up, if those two examples do not suit you. Saying positive affirmations to the subconscious mind keeps you thinking positively while you are awake consciously in the world. What this does is starts to tune out the negative world in which has been created for us, and starts to tell a different story. The more positive your thoughts are the more positive the stream of ideas will be fed to your subconscious mind. This improves your daily life going forward, puts you in a better mood, makes you smile more, all while you smile to yourself knowingly that you are affirming positive thoughts throughout the morning, day and night and programming the subconscious mind while doing it.
At first this may be hard to do, but these affirmations will be committed to memory and eventually the subconscious mind will act on them to make them appear on the external (conscious life). At the beginning of the process, if at the very least, a person is replacing negative thoughts with positive thoughts, isn’t it at least worth a try?
One will attract better people, things and thoughts into your life with these practices and be able to watch the life you live start to turn around to what you really want.
If you want a lover, try this affirmation; I am a magnet for a beautiful person, they delight in my beauty and wit and together our life is a joy. Say this three times as well if you are lonely and looking for someone. If this is practiced on a daily basis, eventually the universe will make this happen by arranging what people call “luck” or a “coincidence”, when in reality you have actually brought this about by asking for it.

There is much to learn within spirituality. Applying positive affirmations to program or “train” the subconscious mind is very similar to prayer. The difference is you are not being told what to say by a religious group, you are directing your thoughts freely, therefore avoiding the programmed religious sayings and replacing them with what you want to manifest into your life for your benefit.
