Modern Meditation

Meditate anywhere
Meditation is practiced daily by millions of people around the world.
Meditation is often thought of as going to a quiet area, with little or no noise, possibly putting on some relaxing music, closing your eyes and getting into a sitting position while looking inwards and connecting with your spirit or higher self. There are many fascinating rituals folks from around the world go through to connect.
Eastern philosophy often expands on that and has the person going to nature, possibly in a cave, and ultimately being recluse while performing meditation.
Meditation is very personal. What works for one person, may not work for another. For example, going into a room and looking for quiet time with some relaxing music may work for some, but not others.
Some people prefer to meditate when they go for a walk anywhere, particularly in nature. Others may prefer to quietly watch insects buzzing on flowers to enter that state. Some
require the soothing sound of water, or the wind blowing through the leaves of a tree, or watching chipmunks scurrying up and down trees.
Different strokes for different folks. There is no right or wrong way to meditate. Do what works for you. You will know if it’s working when you completely relax and entertain new ideas that come to your mind via intuition.

In the new age it appears meditation is enveloping the west and technology and
material wealth the east. In other words, there appears to be a balance across the world as each culture experiences what the other culture has not. This can only benefit both sides of the world as each has practiced what the other generally has not. In the west, modern meditation in not the same as ancient eastern meditation and this is a reflection of the different cultures. |
To meditate means to get in touch with higher powers, whether it be; angels, your higher self, spirit guides or some other entity. In the west people are already integrated within society as a whole and thus if they become spiritual in nature - because of their understanding of how to operate in a fast paced society - they can share their spirituality by way of example. Essentially what this means is if you work with a number of people and they see you happier and more vibrant as the days pass by, they will take notice and begin to wonder why. Eventually questions will be asked and ideas exchanged, even between people of different faiths. This cannot be achieved by going to a solitary area - with a select group of people – resulting in them being the only ones privy to your spirituality. We can all learn from each other and by way of example is the best way of all to learn.
This interaction with spiritual people will rub off on others. If they have worked with you for a long time and noticed you are changing right before their eyes this will have an effect on their own thought process. Thus what really is happening here is expanded consciousness for all for humanity. As people raise their consciousness level they too will become spiritual in nature questioning the standard motif of day to day life. This will eventually result in humanity interacting with each other positively to solve the problems of the modern world.
The golden age is almost upon us. Spirituality, sharing and cooperation will soon rule the day and the people of this planet can finally live in peace, joy and tranquility.
